校長 杰瑞·科伯恩，加拿大課程外方校長。銘遠(yuǎn)雙語學(xué)校外方校長、平和雙語學(xué)校外方校長。畢業(yè)于滑鐵盧大學(xué)和皇后大學(xué)，分別獲得環(huán)境研究和教育學(xué)士學(xué)位，而后畢業(yè)于尼亞加拉大學(xué)，獲得教育科學(xué)碩士學(xué)位。本人在安大略省教師學(xué)會和不列顛哥倫比亞教師管理部門擔(dān)任重要職位，充分勝任小學(xué)、初高中的教學(xué)。本人在加拿大、韓國和中國的教育領(lǐng)域工作超過三十年，其中18年擔(dān)任管理角色。本人為能夠在銘遠(yuǎn)學(xué)校給學(xué)生、家長和員工提供服務(wù)感到高興。Gerry Cockburn has a Bachelor of Environment Studies from the University of Waterloo, a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University and a Master of Science in Education from Niagara University. He is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, and the British Columbia Teacher Regulation Branch, and is fully qualified to teach students at the Primary, Junior and Intermediate levels. He has worked in education for almost thirty years in Canada, South Korea and China, of which 18 has been as school administrator. He is extremely pleased to have the opportunity to serve the students, parents/guardian and faculty at Ming Yuan Bilingual High School.

英語教師 My name is Julian McRoberts, and I teach English Literature, English Literacy and Learning Strategies here at Mingyuan High School.? I graduated from the University of Toronto in 2003 studying International Relations, and have also studied French and Chinese, and Journalism.? I have taught college preparation courses for language and academic assessment tests such as the TOEFL, IELTS, GAC and ACT in China for the past five years.? I have lived in many cities in China during my time here such as Shanghai, Panjin, Taiyuan, and Qingdao and I have learned a lot about Chinese culture as well as the education system.? As a teacher, I feel it is my duty to help students to not only acquire knowledge, but also how to apply it to their daily lives. ?I also believe that because each individual student has their own motivations and learning styles, teachers must try to find the best possible ways to motivate students to develop their strengths and talents so they can achieve their full potential. 英語老師 I am Bert Self. At Mingyuan I teach ESL course: listening, speaking, reading and writing. I graduated from the University of Arkansas, with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English. Following that degree I took a postgraduate degree in religious education from South Western Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to moving to China in 2007, I was employed as an English Teacher in the U.S. public school system. During the last 6 years, I worked at Xiamen University, and I found myself engulfed in teaching ESL courses covering a broad spectrum of topics — from American Culture and Education, to Leadership, and learning any language. My personal belief regarding to teaching methods is, that above all, one should try to make both teaching and learning fun! 英語老師 I am Stephen Pulsford and I teach IB courses at Mingyuan high school. I graduated from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with a double major in English and History. Following that I took a post-graduate degree in Education from Monash University and in Media Studies specialising in the use of modern media in education. I have also been a senior member of the Year 12 examination board of English in the state of Victoria. I believe that the pursuit of academic excellence should be challenging, but also engaging and enjoyable. My greatest enjoyment comes from the moment when I am able to inspire students to become self motivated and independent learners. I believe that the greatest lesson to be learnt is to know how to look at things in many different ways and to look at things more deeply. These skills not only set the students for true academic success but also for a lifetime of learning.
